Support

Getbooqin turns your Shopify store into a booking system. If something is not doing what you expect, start here – most answers are on this page, and the rest reach a person within one working day.

Contact us

Two ways to reach us. Both land with the same person.

Email: support@getbooqin.com Contact form: getbooqin.com/contact – use this if you would rather not open your mail client, or if you are still deciding which plan fits.

Response time: a written reply within one working day, whichever channel you use. Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00 IST (03:30–12:30 UTC). Messages sent on a weekend or an Indian public holiday are answered on the next working day.

Those are our two support channels. There is no phone line and no queue – you write, a person reads it, you get an answer.

To get a useful reply first time, include:

  1. Your store’s .myshopify.com domain.
  2. The service or resource involved, by name.
  3. What you expected to happen and what happened instead.
  4. The date and time it happened, and the timezone.
  5. A screenshot of the screen where it went wrong.

You do not need to send us customer details. If we need them, we will ask, and only for the specific booking.

Urgent – bookings are failing or the booking page is down: email support@getbooqin.com with URGENT at the start of the subject line. Email, not the form, for anything urgent. These are picked up ahead of everything else.

Security issue: email support@getbooqin.com with Security in the subject line.

Getting started

Your first bookable service takes about ten minutes.

1. Install the app. Open Getbooqin from the Shopify App Store and approve the permissions. Nothing on your storefront changes at this point – the booking page stays unpublished until you publish a service.

2. Add a resource. A resource is whatever the booking consumes: a person, a room, a chair, a machine, a vehicle. Give it a name and its working hours.

3. Create a service. A service is what the customer buys. Set its duration, its price, and which resource or resources it needs. A service can require more than one resource at once – a facial that needs a therapist and a treatment room only opens a slot when both are free.

4. Add add-ons, if you want them. Optional extras that lengthen the appointment, cost more, or both.

5. Publish. Publishing your first service publishes the booking page. Until then, customers see nothing.

6. Take a test booking. Book a slot yourself on the storefront and check the confirmation, the calendar entry and the order. Do this before you send customers to it.

Everyday operations

Changing hours. Working hours live on the resource, not the service. Change the resource’s hours and every service that uses it follows.

Blocking time off. Add the block to the resource. Existing bookings inside the blocked window are not cancelled automatically – you will see them flagged so you can move them.

Rescheduling or cancelling. Open the booking and change it. The customer is notified. If money moves, refunds are issued through the Shopify order, using your normal refund settings.

Cancellation windows. Set per service. Inside the window, the slot reopens automatically and the waitlist is notified. Outside it, your no-show fee applies.

Multiple locations. On the Multi-location plan, each location keeps its own resources, hours and pricing while sharing one catalogue of services.

Timezones. Slots are computed in your business timezone and rendered in the visitor’s. A customer booking from another country sees the correct local hour. Your business timezone comes from your Shopify store settings – change it there and Getbooqin follows.

Payments and billing

How customers pay. Getbooqin adds the booking to the Shopify cart. Deposits, taxes, discounts and payouts follow the checkout settings you already use. We never see or store card details.

Your Getbooqin subscription. Charged through Shopify Billing and shown on your Shopify invoice. Starter is free for up to 25 bookings a month; Studio and Multi-location are paid monthly.

Changing plan. Change it inside the app. Shopify prorates the difference.

Cancelling. Uninstall the app from your Shopify admin. Billing stops at the end of the current period and your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy – Shopify notifies us 48 hours after uninstall and everything is purged within 30 days. If you want your booking history first, export it before you uninstall.

Troubleshooting

No slots are showing on the booking page. Check, in this order: the service is published; it has at least one resource attached; that resource has working hours covering the days you are looking at; there is no time-off block over the window; and the booking lead time is not pushing the first slot past the range being displayed.

Slots show at the wrong time. Almost always a timezone setting. Confirm the store timezone in Shopify admin under Settings → General, then reload the booking page. Slots render in the visitor’s local time by design, so a slot that looks shifted may be correct for the person looking at it.

A slot was double-booked. Send us the booking references and the exact timestamps. Slots are held at the moment the customer reaches checkout, so this usually points at a service sharing a resource in a way that was not intended. We will look at the resource configuration with you.

The booking page does not match my theme. The booking page inherits your theme’s fonts and colours. If it is not picking them up, tell us your theme name and version.

A customer did not get their confirmation email. Check the email address on the order for a typo, then check the customer’s spam folder. If neither explains it, send us the booking reference and we will trace the delivery.

The app will not load in Shopify admin. Try a hard refresh, then a different browser with extensions disabled. If it persists, send us the store domain and a screenshot including any error text.

Data and privacy requests

If a customer asks to see or delete the data held about them, raise the request from your Shopify admin. Shopify passes it to us and we act within 30 days:

  • Access request – we return everything we hold on that customer to you, for you to pass on.
  • Deletion request – we erase their booking records. Where a booking is tied to a paid order, tax law may require the transaction record to survive; in that case the personal fields are erased and only an anonymised record remains.

Anything else about data handling: support@getbooqin.com. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

Service status and incidents

If the app or a booking page is unavailable, email support@getbooqin.com with URGENT in the subject. During an incident affecting more than one store, we email every affected merchant with what is broken, what we are doing, and when we will next update – and again when it is resolved.
